The lovely Cat at Reaching For The Stars held a giveaway and I won! :) Here's what I got:

Urban Decay lipbalm/gloss, Red Herring make-up set, VO5 hot oil hair treatment, No7 eyeshadow in 'tender', 3 little bath bombs, some kiss shaped plasters and a lovely note.

The kit is brill, there's a little mascara, gold eyeliner, concealer and 2 lip colours.

Thanks Cat!! I am looking forward to trying out all my new things.

P.S. As some of you on Twitter know, I lost my job yesterday and I just wanted to say "thanks" for all the nice messages and emails you sent me. I hated it there and had been unhappy for a while. I was made redundant last summer (yes I'm very unlucky aren't I, lol) and I HAD to find something asap so I took this job and never quite enjoyed it but gave it my best shot anyway. When I mentioned that the job wasn't quite how it had been advertised I was slowly bullied/pushed out and here I am, job hunting yet again!

It's annoying not knowing what I want to do. When I was 18 I thought I would figure it out after working for a couple of years but here I am, at 24, and I STILL don't know what I want to do.

I might look into studying part time.. I just need to find the right subject!

Is anyone else like me? Or do you know exactly what you want to do in life? I'd be really interested to see what everyone does as a career!

  3. oh no - i'm sorry to hear about what happened with your job! I've done a degree, and have a job lined up as you know, but i still don't know what i really want to do with my life. I never wanted to do a degree, but kind of felt like I didn't know what else to do, so i did it, but never really enjoyed it. It's probably a good time to go into education - if you find something that interests you, then you should go for it! have you ever thought about training to become a vetinary nurse or something along those lines? - i can really imagine you working with animals!! x

  4. Don't worry about not knowing what you want to do, I have no idea either - I keep coming up with a new life plan every week!

What a lovely little set of gifts you got, you should try the V05 bhot oil, it's great stuff.

    xx

  5. Sorry to hear about your job hun, but at least it means you're away from the horrible people and rubbish work. You should give yourself a couple of weeks to chill out and just think about things that you are interested in and what jobs you could do that combine your interests so you end up in a career you really like. Sometimes it takes a while to find something that you enjoy doing and it normally happens when you least expect it :) xx

  7. I'm so sorry to hear that, bullying at work is such an awful thing and it can make you miserable...I've had it in past jobs. You're definitely better out of it. I think most people don't know what to do with their career etc. The way I see it, I do a job but it doesn't define me as a person. I always think people that enjoy their job are very lucky coz not many people get that. You can either treat a job as a way of making money or as a vocation or a calling. I'm yet to find my calling, but who says that has to come in the form of a job...

  10. So sorry to hear about your job. I was the same as you I didn't really know what I wanted to do but by luck got a job as a trainee legal secretary after college and now, by accident, I've finally found what I enjoy and I have been working at the same job 5 years now, and no longer a trainee! They do say things happen for a reason so I hope it's because there is a better job out there for you! xx

  11. Aw it's probably for the best in one way if they were bullying you and you didn't like it! That's so unfair though! :(
I'm 24 and I don't work atm as I'm home looking after my little girl. At school I did a GNVQ in Health and Social care along side my GCSEs, at college I did Media, then whilst working I did a NVQ in Business, now I'm doing an Open Uni degree in Psychology... and I still don't know what to do when I return to work! Some times I think you've got to try different options to really find out what you enjoy!
Anyways sorry for the long message, and cool prizes too!
    :)

  12. So sorry love...but as you said, it might be a good thing-now you can find something you like to do and not be treated like crap! But regardless, it sucks and I'm so sorry!!

I work in fashion, after going to fashion school...and I love it but sometimes I'm like ohhh I wish I had done that, or this, you know? I think the grass is always greener!

Hang in there and have a great weekend! XOXO
(congrats on winning such an awesome giveaway too!)

  13. Congratulations on the giveaway. Looks like you got some fab goodies :) What a pain about the job but I hope it gives you the opportunity to find something much better. Maybe you should look into studying? There are so many different types of courses out there..just have a browse and see if there is anything that catches your attention. I'm not sure many people know what they want to do or even end up doing what they want. I know I'm not totally sure, and I think you don't realise until your doing it :) Good luck hun!

  15. I'm sorry to hear about your job. I always thought I knew what I wanted to do and I started training to be a nurse when I was 19.
A medical emergency, a lot of stress, heartache, support from family and two years later - I'm studying to be a writer/editor and I couldn't be happier :)
Fate works in strange ways. You'll figure it out - and if you need help, I suggest doing some evening classes. That's what I did when I was recovering from my operation and deciding what to do and not only did it make me realise I needed to be doing something creative, but I met some great friends too!
    Good luck x

  17. Oh no.. I'm sorry about losing your job. But you are still young, and it's okay to explore a little taking your time. Don't rush.. but also dive into whatever it is that you want to do. And if you don't like it, then there's alawys a "tomorrow." :)

  18. Well I'm still a student but your scaring me. I thought when I was older I'd figuire out what I wanted to do easily. :( lol! I know the subjects I like and stuff. Good luck with finding a new job. I am looking for a summer job at the moment and I have been ringing up companies and it's just frustrating that I am not getting anything at all

  20. Hey Victoria,
So sorry to hear about the job..but remember it is a job and in no time you will find something else -- something you love.

I've been in the same career for 9 years and for the most part I enjoy it but I always feel like I should be doing something else. So in answer to your question, I don't think you ever really know what to do.And that's fine!

Wish you all the best! hugs!

    Michelle
P.S. CONGRATS on 200! Your blog is amazing.

  21. oh boo to the job situation, it's always nice to be able to leave of your own accord. even though it sounds like it will be a blessing in the long run. i've always been the same as you, no job particularly taking my interest. as a result, i'm in the same job that i've had since uni!
