Bah humbug.

27.11.10

I'm sorry snow lovers but I officially hate the stuff! I drive a ridiculous car (say hello to my new little Smart car by the way!) which, if it's anything like my last one, will be rubbish in the snow. Luckily I drove over to Jonathan's house last night instead of this morning. Good call! It started snowing heavily at about 11pm last night and it has well and truly settled. My car will be staying put until the little side roads have melted a bit.

I may need to invest in some dog booties.. Lily and Lola can't bear to walk on the snow. It makes their little tootsies freezing cold. They're snug as a bug pug on a rug now though.

Today we are going to make a beef stew, watch some Christmas films (Elf!), drink cups of tea followed by wine later, and snuggle under a duvet. Then copious amounts of biscuits will be consumed.

What are your plans for today? Any snow where you are? Love it or loathe it?

  2. As long as you can stay home for a fortnight then it's fine. If you have a car/job/need to eat then it's rubbish.

  5. No snow here yet. I have a LOVE/HATE relationship with the stuff. I love how much the children enjoy it but I hate to be cold! Your weekend sounds lovely. We're watching the old version of Miracle on 34th St (one of my fav xmas films) and drinking tea. Might bake some muffins later on.

  8. @Ayden - Yeah they're here with me now :) He loves em.

No it's not tiny inside, it's quite roomy. Just no back seats and a diddy boot :)

  9. cute photos :)
I have a love hate relationship with snow really, the thought of it is lovely! If I didn't have to do anything, and could just walk the dogs & play in the snow all day long- that would be fine! However driving anywhere in it is awful, and any normal person does need to unless they want to get fired! lol

  11. I hate the snow. I crashed my car last year after skidding on the road, and am now freaking out immensely about the thought of having to drive in it on Monday. Like others have said, snows fine if you don't have to leave the house! Have a lovely weekend! :)xxxxx

  13. I like the IDEA of snow, but then when it comes along, it makes me pretty angry. Also, my pugs can't walk on snow either! They get really sad and start lifting each of their paws. If you do get those booties, let me know how they work, cause I might have to this year as well.

  14. I want the snow to go away too, i wish it had missed Yorkshire this time.
My dogs are the opposite to yours, they're like naughty children rolling around and going mad in it x

  15. @Caitlin - Mine too!! When they 1st did it last year I thought one of them had a broken leg. They must be so so cold, the poor little things. xx

  21. I can't stand snow either. We get quite a lot up my way (Aberdeen) and its just a nuisance....sometimes I wish I was a cat...

My dog loves the snow, but according to my parents, when its raining he gets depressed as he hates the rain and gives the 'i'm unhappy' look.

  22. Poor pugs! You should definitely get them some teeny little dog shoes to keep their feet warm. :) x
