Paris.

13.11.10

My task for the afternoon is to drink plenty of tea, catch up on blogging, listen to She & Him and most importantly price up a trip to Paris. This is where I need your help - have any of my lovely blog readers been before? I need recommendations of lovely places to stay. It's only a few weeks away when we'd like to go so I need to get a wiggle on! We both had a look a few weeks ago but there's so many places to choose from. It's hard to pick the right area, etc.

I'd love to hear your suggestions/recommendations!

Thank you! x x

  2. Last time I went I stayed at Hotel Mayet which I'd definitely recommend - cute, well-located and not too expensive: www.mayet.com

  5. We stayed in a hotel near Disney, and was near the train station- so super easy to get into central Paris- obv if you aren't going to Disney it wont be much help. It was called Residence du parc, and we flew there as it was cheaper than train

  10. I went last weekend and stayed at 'My Hotel In France Opera St Georges' which was in a really good location. It was quite cheap at about £60 a night per person and supplies you with a lunch bag (sandwich, bottle of water and a bit of fruit) every whole day you stay there. Because Paris is quite expensive, although we did stop at cafe's, the lunch bag was really appreciated and not many other hotels we looked at provided any lunchtime arrangements so it was a bit of a bonus!

  12. Hieee :) I actually live in Paris at the moment (am here on placement for a year as part of my degree).. Can't offer you much advise in terms of hotels to stay at but if you're looking for a nice lively area with lots of restaurants and bars and little shops and generally a nice atmosphere I'd say go to the Latin Quarter (5th and 6th arrondissements).. St Germain/Mabillon/Odeon/Saint Michel areas are pretty young and interesting, and if you're looking for cheap set menu type places with lots of Frenchy cuisine (plus some reasonably priced cocktails in happy hour!) then google Rue Mouffetard which is in the same area.. Hope this helped! xo
