Not long to go...

14.4.12

It's not long now until we head on our travels to Las Vegas to attend my Sister's wedding, and now that we have our dollars we're pretty much organised and there's a buzz of excitement in the air! Although there is still the small matter of packing our suitcases...

We're staying at the Bellagio hotel for 7 nights which is also where Adele's wedding will be held, and judging by the pictures/website it looks fan-bloody-tastic. You may recognise it from the film Oceans 11?

My Sister and her fiance have been to Vegas a few times now, and got engaged there, so I always knew there would be a good chance the wedding would be held there too. Quite a few family members and friends are heading out to attend, and also make a holiday of it too.

Jonathan and I plan to act like full on tourists and see as much as we can while we're there. We're also planning on a trip to the Grand Canyon and have got tickets to see Penn and Teller on one of the evenings.

I'm sure some of you reading this will have been so you must tell me your recommendations/favourite places to give us lots of ideas!

  9. You must go to Dick's Last Resort pub/restaurant in the Excalibur hotel. Sounds odd but the staff are paid to insult you, but it's so much fun. Look it up online for reviews. I've also written a post on my blog about Vegas if you fancy a nosey x

  11. Ooooh you are going to have one amazing time! If I could do it again I would have ridden the rollercoaster (I beleive it's at Paris) and there's one on a high building, like some sort of needle (these are not very helpful details, I realize), and I would have seen more shows! I saw Cirque du Soleil so I would certainly recommend that. I wish I could have checked out the Beatles Cirque show called LOVE at the Mirage. I hear it's fantastic!

  12. I went to Las Vegas when I was about 11/12 and my parents took me and my two elder brothers to circus circus which is like a kids casino/arcade. I still reckon I'd enjoy it as a 45 year old women so I definitely recommend there if you are easily entertained :D xx

  16. Try and make a trip to the Neon Boneyard, its a museum with all the old neon signs displayed and you get a really interesting tour which tells you all about the history of Vegas.
