November goals.

1.11.12

- comment on every blog post I read
- pick up my knitting needles again
- finish Christmas shopping for at least one person
- finish making my Christmas cards
- come up with an idea for my Christmas wrapping
- get to grips with a fishtail braid
- bake something new
-  find a dog toy that Lily and Lola will actually play with
- organise my financial documents, bills, things to do with my car, etc so that I can actually find things when I need them (!) *having a car tax issue as we speak

Feel free to share your own goals!

  1. This is a good idea. I made a list of things I wanted to achieve this year back in January. I am now manically trying to finish off the things I haven't yet done before the year is done!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to make my own cards/wrapping paper for Christmas. My wrapping paper the previous two Christmases has been parcel paper decorated with a leafy stencil and glitter paint and tied with some narrow garden string. Looks better than it sounds! Quite rustic.
I'm with you on commenting more on blogs too. I need to fall back into that habit.

  2. Ditto about organising. I need my car insurance certificate and it's gone missing. Going to buy another pretty document holder thingy. For some reason getting older means more important stuff to store!

  5. This is a great idea, but I already have too many lists on the go - I couldn't possibly hope to add anything else and actually achieve it!

Fishtail braids are sooo easy - you'll master one in no time at all, I'm sure!

    Good luck with everything :)

  7. I really need to start thinking about Christmas cards, I really want to make some, especially "special" ones for sending back to the UK but then I see all the pretty ones in the stores and I want to buy them. I have the time to make them and all i'm just being lazy haha

  9. I love this idea, making monthly goals, nowhere near completing my yearly goals lol! Maybe a month at a time is the way to go :)
    Good luck!

  10. finding the perfect idea for christmas wrapping is so hard, I swear I spent more time / effort / £££ on that than what I actually buy!

I also have major finance organisation issues, I had to spend a good hour sorting it all out but now I have lovely Laura ashley files which keeps them hidden, pretty and more importantly not in the way!

Cant wait to see what you get up too :)

  11. This is a great list!! I am going to steal your idea! Sometimes I make lists/goals and I feel like I never hold myself accountable until I make it publically known!

    Best of luck!

  13. This is such a good idea, my main goal is to be more thrifty with my Christmas shopping this year, I always go a bit overboard and I want to make a real effort with home made gifts which are still special but less pricey! x

  17. Lists are what get me through. Every Sunday I write what I want to achieve for the coming week. It's very satisfying being able to cross them off as you go along.
When it comes to wrapping, I theme mine around my tree so it's always some variation of red, white, parcel paper and twine!

  19. This is such a great idea..once your goals are documented on a blog, you have to fulfill them! I want to finish as much Christmas shopping as I can, and lose half a stone before Christmas festivities start!

  21. Good idea to make a list - then it's way easier to actually get around to doing it. I like the pictures, very atmospheric.

  28. Commenting is something I always forget to do! So I think that is a really good one!

Also I know your dogs are small but have you tried plastic bottles? My dog absolutely adores them! They make a lot of noise though but its a cheap test to see if they do like them

  29. Love this post.. I'm trying to comment on every post i read too. I recently noticed I've been reading loads and loads of blog posts but then not leaving any messages to say how much I'd enjoyed reading.. then being sad when i don't get comments on my own posts haha. Commenting is a good way of sharing the blog joy xx
