Orla Kiely glasses

I had my eye on these Orla Kiely frames for a while after trying on every pair of glasses in every.single.opticians and last month I took the plunge, mainly due to a 25% off voucher for Boots Opticians and fancying a change from my Ray Bans. Yes they're rather a bold statement with their chunky oversized tortoiseshell frames and gold logo but I love them. The case is also rather pretty which is a nice bonus.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+

I used a tube of this many moons ago off and on in a rather lackluster fashion, but a couple of months ago I purchased another tube on a whim. Since then I have used it day and night religiously and it has improved my skin in a huge way. My breakouts are minimal and my skin looks smoother with a reduction in my acne scarring visibility. Having struggled with my skin for years now, I knew this serum was a winner when I started receiving compliments on how well my skin looked. I thought I would never hear compliments like that again!

Barbecue Popchips

If you haven't tried Popchips where have you been? They are the bees knees. Guilt free = check! Amazing flavours = check! Jonathan and I are obsessed with the barbecue flavour and always stock up on the big bags when we spot them in the shops.

SeeYaReelSoon on YouTube

My favourite YouTube channel by far are the Disney loving Joe and Ashley aka SeeYaReelSoon. They release a video every Wednesday, usually a vlog from a Disney trip or something else Disney related like a recipe or FAQ video. They are the absolute sweetest and I look forward to Wednesdays to catch their latest video. I wish I could visit Disney as often as they do, but alas I have to live vicariously through them!

Carmex cherry lipbalm

You may struggle to get excited over a lip balm but this is a really good one, promise! I recently finished off a tube that was in my desk drawer at work and a pot in my makeup bag so I bought a brand spanking new pot yesterday. It's so moisturising, tastes like cherries and has SPF15. Plus it's only a couple of quid!

Bath & Body Works candles

Yes I am featuring B&BW candles again! What can I say, they're amazing. These dinky mini jar candles were sent to me by my new friend in America, Amy, and they smell divine. They're two of the new Autumn scents currently making our kitchen smell divine (well, apart from the Pug smell ;))

What were you loving in August?

  1. I am in love with those glasses! I'm getting a pair of glasses along with new contacts soon, so I will definitely be looking out for these frames. I also am a big fan of the effaclar duo and carmex - staples in my routine x

  5. I just purchased the LRP effaclar duo+ but haven't used it long enough to make a sound verdict yet. So many people rave about it though so i've got my fingers crossed! I've also been loving the cherry carmex. It seems to work so much better than the multiple vaseline tins i own.
